- Attention-seeking Bloggers -

Man! Was today's mcw meeting interesting or what. Let me quickly enlighten some people about what I learnt about blogs in one of my communication units:

Blogging is a type of new media that consists of both written and spoken texts. It's mostly written in first person to portray the authors'/bloggers' point of view. It can contain a sense of identity whereby the blogger with identify with themselves or it can also be written with anonymity. It is written with fragmentation as with speech (like when we speak, we usually do not complete a sentence and talk with irregularity), however integration is also involved where bloggers can nominalise their 'posts' just like articles or paragraphs in theses.
60% of blog readers are men, but 65% of bloggers are women, which I find such an odd statistic. And finally, there are 3 key groups of bloggers which I know someone will find interesting: the first and most prominent group of bloggers are the 'I want to be read' bloggers (mwahahaha); second are the cyber community who aim to share and exchange information within the electronic world; and finally the third group blog because they are motivated by a particular and specific cause.
I, am neither of them.

It's ironic to see me run this off while the stupid communications unit is over and done with. Results weren't spectacular. I'm supposed to remember some highlights from the mcw meeting today and all we did was run off the topic every single time. We (mostly me and mich) had a massive opinionated discussion about blogs (ahem, in general that is). And I mean opinionated. Boy, were we harsh. Well at least I thought so. Then another time we somehow got side-tracted (omg is that how you spell it?) to those stupid languages that we used as teens back in highschool. Who knew there were so many forms of gibberish around? And then, 'they' got off the topic by talking about what they were going to wear to the mcw charity ball, that's like three months away! Guys! I don't think we were very progressive, which means mcw homework tonight. =(

On a better note, I went go-carting on yesterday. That was funnnn, 'cos there was this many of us:
Yeah, that many people that you can't even spot me. Mwhahaha. Oh yeah, half these people are my workmates. One of the guys try to organise something every Wednesday for us to do. Too bad most of my pictures are gone, 'cos a certain someone deleted them all, but I got this one:
Her visor went on as soon as I turned the camera onto her, and she will remain undisclosed.

Hahahaha. Too bad I didn't have the ones with us in the go-carts.. Anyways, next week will be paint-ball, but I've already been to that, been shot in the head about twice, and I'm not prepared to do that again.
